A Reason

burn your heart to his chest lay all thought
to rest and everything that you held sacred
it's a door that won't unlock baby what more
have you got but a reckless and terminal
fabrication in a multitude of sins
recollections growing dim you waste the
prize that you had/held from the start
with his death induced kiss you implore
the malevolence as you feed upon the
carcass of his aversion you are diminutive
and weak so tepid and fatigued and his
love has nothing left for you to yield
with his bandaged bloody palms
such useless discarded alms as it prostrates
spoiling on his dirty floor
spurious pallid and rough baby passion now
clouded in distrust it's a doctrine of servitude
on which you will forever gorge

does everything happen for a reason
does everything happen for a reason
does everything happen for a reason...
you're forever hoping for a reason
does everything happen for a reason
